Waiting to take credit until the whole team is thanked is a small kind of patience people notice.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Going last on your own contribution is a quiet signal about what you are in it for. Everybody can tell when somebody is waiting for their turn to be mentioned, and when somebody is not. Letting the thanks go round before you say anything about yourself costs you nothing, because the work is already visible.

After something goes well, name other people first and then stay quiet. If your part needs saying, let somebody else say it, and they usually will. Thank the person nobody thanks, the one who set up or cleaned up afterwards.
