Don’t put your life on hold waiting for someone’s apology. Some never come, and you still have to keep going.
STILLNESS
An apology you are owed sits in somebody else’s hands, so waiting for it hands them the timing of your own recovery. Some people never manage it, not because the harm was small but because facing it is beyond them. The repair you are hoping for and the life you are living do not have to run on the same clock.
Name quietly what you were hoping to hear, then ask what you would do next if it never came. Start that in some small way this week. An apology arriving later can still be welcome without having been the thing that freed you.
