Rivers change landscapes without needing to move quickly.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

The river never hurries and it carves canyons. What it has instead of force is direction that does not change and time that does not stop. Almost everything durable in the world was made this way, by something modest applied in the same place for far longer than seemed necessary.

If progress feels too slow to matter, check whether it is consistent rather than whether it is fast. A small thing done reliably will outperform a large thing done occasionally. The only real requirement is that you do not change course every season.
