Your free time isn’t empty time. It’s time you get to aim.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Free time gets treated as whatever is left over, so it fills with whatever reaches it first, usually a feed. Having no plan for it is not the same as having nothing you want from it, and the difference between those two is the whole experience of a Saturday. Aimed time can still be lazy. It just got chosen rather than defaulted into.
Pick one thing in advance for your next free afternoon, however small: a skate, a film, a bike ride, two chapters. Decide before the afternoon starts, because deciding inside it rarely happens. Lazy on purpose beats lazy by accident.
Where will you aim your free time this coming week?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
