The plainest work often took the most refusing. Every element that is not there was considered and removed, and the ease of the final thing is the residue of a hundred decisions you cannot see. Complexity is frequently what happens when someone stopped deciding.

With anything you make, try a pass whose only purpose is removal. What can go without the thing collapsing. It is uncomfortable and slow, and it is usually what separates work that reads as effortless from work that reads as unfinished.
