Forgiving someone doesn’t mean handing back the same access.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Letting go of the anger and restoring the arrangement are two separate decisions, though people often assume the first requires the second. You can stop carrying something and still not give somebody the same place in your life, because trust is rebuilt through behaviour over time rather than granted along with an apology. Forgiveness is about what you put down. Access is about what you hand over.
If you have forgiven somebody, decide separately what they get now: how often, how much, in which parts of your life.
What access would you not return even after forgiving someone?
