Look at a dark sky for a few minutes and more stars keep showing up. Patience adds detail.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Some things only show up to patience. Your eyes take a long while to adjust, and a sky that looked nearly empty gets steadily more crowded the longer you stay with it, which has nothing to do with the sky changing. People, books and places work the same way. A first impression is mostly a measure of how little time you gave something.
Pick something you decided was dull and give it ten uninterrupted minutes this week. A person, a piece of music, the view from your window. Stay past the point where you would usually stop.
What revealed more of itself the longer you stayed with it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
