The crowd boos the call before anyone has seen the replay. Don’t join a crowd that’s guessing.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Groups reach certainty long before they have information. A crowd reacts in half a second, mostly to whatever it wanted to be true, and the confidence of all those people together is far more persuasive than any single one of their views deserves. Being surrounded by agreement feels like evidence. Very often it is only speed.
Wait for the replay, literally and otherwise. When a group around you is sure about something that happened fast, hold your own opinion for a minute and see whether the story changes.
When did you join a judgement before knowing the facts?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
