The best things in your week rarely send notifications.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Anything with a push alert has somebody behind it who benefits from you looking. The good parts of a week do not have that: a long conversation, a walk, an afternoon of making something, an hour with your grandfather. Nothing buzzes to remind you, so they lose by default to things that do.

If it does not alert you, it needs a place in your week instead. Put one silent thing in the calendar the way you would a shift, and treat it as fixed rather than as what happens if there is time left. There never is time left; there is only time taken.
