The trailer is never the movie. Neither is someone’s profile.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A trailer is made of the best two minutes and arranged to make you want something. A profile is assembled the same way, out of the handful of hours that photographed well, with the arguments, the boredom and the ordinary Tuesdays left on the floor. Nobody is lying; they are just advertising.
So refuse the comparison, because it is not between two lives, it is between your full footage and somebody’s best cut. When a feed starts making your week look thin, go and sit with one of those people in person for an hour. The real version is always more mixed and much easier to like.
Whose online version did you mistake for the whole person?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
