You’re not behind on the news. You’re ahead on stress.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The sense of being behind is manufactured by a system that produces more than any person could read. Keeping up is not a duty, and most of what the extra hours buy is not understanding but a raised background level of dread about things you cannot affect this week. Being informed and being saturated are different states.
Try once a day instead of all day. One source, ten minutes, at a time that is not first thing or last thing. You will know almost exactly as much as you did before, and you will notice the difference in how the evening feels within about three days.
How much of today’s news did you actually need?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
