Birds read the stars, the sun and the earth’s magnetic field to find their way. Pay attention to more than one signal.

A navigation system with one input fails the moment that input is wrong, which is why birds carry several and cross-check between them. Single signals are seductive because they are simple: one grade, one comment, one person’s opinion of you. Any of those can be off on a given day. Several together are much harder to fool.
Before you conclude anything big this week, find a second reading. If one practice went badly, look at the month; if one person was cold with you, check whether anybody else was. Decisions made off a single data point are the ones people tend to regret.
Are you reading one signal when several are available?
