Someone cleaned the bathroom you used today. Notice the invisible people.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A working day rests on a lot of labour arranged so that you never see it happen. Bins get emptied, floors get mopped, shelves get filled, usually early or late and usually by people whose names nobody in the building knows. The invisibility is not an accident, it is part of how the job was designed. The work is still being done by a person.
Find out one name this week and use it: the cleaner at school, whoever stocks your shop, whoever takes the bins. Say good morning like you mean it. If you work somewhere, leave your area in a state that does not add to their night.
Whose work keeps your day running without you seeing them?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
