The people who see your patterns aren’t always the ones you want to hear from. Listen anyway.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Useful observations do not arrive from the person you would have chosen. A sibling, a coach or a relative you find exhausting may have watched you for years and noticed the thing your friends are too kind or too close to mention. Your dislike of the messenger has nothing to do with whether the message is accurate, although it certainly feels like it does.
Take one piece of feedback this week from somebody you would rather dismiss and sit with it for a day before deciding. Ask whether any part of it is true, even a quarter. Keep the quarter and leave the rest.
Who named a pattern in you that you did not want named?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
