The faintest stars are seen with the edge of your eye. Some feelings are too.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
The outer parts of your eye work better in the dark, so there are stars you can only catch by not looking straight at them. Feelings can behave like that. Some will not come into view under direct questioning and show up sideways instead, while you are walking, washing up or talking about something else. Pressure makes them dimmer.
Stop staring at it this week and go and do something plainly physical for half an hour: a walk, the dishes, a run, a drive. Let the thought come alongside you rather than being summoned. If something surfaces, write one line down before it fades.
Which feeling do you only catch when you stop looking straight at it?
