City lights didn’t delete the Milky Way. They just outshine it. Same with your phone and your own thoughts.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

The faint thing is still there, it has simply lost a contest it was never built to win. A city sky has not deleted the galaxy, only drowned it out, and a day of constant input does precisely that to your own quieter thinking. Your ideas have not gone missing. They just cannot compete with something brighter held closer to your face.

Give yourself one stretch this week with no screen and nothing playing, a walk or ten minutes before sleep. Do not try to think productively. Pay attention to what surfaces once the brighter thing is switched off.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What were you thinking about before your screen drowned it out?
