Some of your biggest questions got asked staring at the bottom of the top bunk.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Serious questions do not announce themselves or wait for a suitable occasion. They turn up at bedtime, in a bunk, on a bus, in the ten minutes before sleep when nothing else is competing. That is the usual setting rather than a lesser one, and most real thinking happens there.
Give those questions somewhere to land, since the ones that arrive at midnight are gone by morning. A note on your phone or a page in a notebook is enough, just the question without an answer. The same two or three keep returning, and those are the ones worth your time.
