Keep one dream private for a while. It grows better without everyone’s opinions on it.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Saying a plan out loud too early does two things to it. It invites opinions from people picturing a different version, and it hands you a little of the credit before any of the work. A new thing needs a while to get sturdy before it can survive being discussed.
Pick the one you care about most and keep it to yourself for a month. Work on it quietly, badly, without reporting progress to anybody. When you do tell people, you will have something to show rather than something to defend.
Whose opinion would you rather not hear about your dream yet?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
