Know when you’re weakest. If you always say yes when you’re tired, don’t decide anything tired.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Willpower is not a constant, and most people have a reliable window where their judgement goes soft. Tired, hungry, just after a loss, late at night, caught off guard in a corridor. The decisions made in that window are not really yours; they belong to whoever happened to ask at the right moment.
Work out when your window is and put a rule over it. Nothing gets decided after ten, or no answers given in the hallway. Then use the phrase that buys you out of it, which is that you will get back to them tomorrow.
At what hour do you agree to things you regret?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
