Ship crews work in watches so nobody steers all night. Rest is part of the plan, not a break from it.

LEADERSHIP
A crew splits the night because an exhausted person at the wheel is the real danger, not the hours themselves. Rest is scheduled in as equipment, like the lights and the charts, because performance depends on it. Treating sleep as what happens when the work runs out means the work gets done by somebody unfit to do it.
Put rest in the plan rather than at the end of it. With an exam Monday, a shift Saturday and practice tonight, decide now where the sleep goes and build around it. The plan that includes rest is the only one that survives the week.
Is rest written into your week or squeezed between things?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
