Don’t fight in the comments over something a five-minute talk could settle.

Written arguments in public come with an audience, and audiences change what people say. Both sides begin performing, tone gets read wrongly, and the record sits there long after you have both forgotten what started it. A conversation in person or on a call has none of that, and it ends. Most of these disputes are a misunderstanding plus a format problem.
When you catch yourself drafting a third reply, send a short message instead asking to talk later. Delete your half of the thread if you can. The talk takes five minutes; the comments would have taken your evening.
