You’ll leave every job eventually. What stays behind is whether people trusted you.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Every job ends, the good ones included, and almost nothing you produced inside it will still be in use a few years later. What stays in the building is the impression you left on the people who worked beside you: whether your word held, whether you covered the shift you promised to cover. That travels much further than any task.

Do the small reliable things this week without needing to be asked twice. Arrive when you said, finish what you took on, tell someone early when you cannot. It is a short list and it is the whole thing.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Would the people you worked with say you were reliable?
