An old cookbook falls open to the pages that got used most. Your life will too. Make those pages good.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Repetition leaves physical evidence behind. A book falls open at the recipes somebody made a hundred times, and a life has the same few pages: one route, one meal, one handful of people, one way of spending a Saturday. Those habits are not small decisions, given that you will be living inside them most of the time.
Look at what your week repeats and ask whether you would want that to be the worn page. Change one of the repeats rather than trying to redesign the whole thing. Ordinary days are where nearly all of a life gets spent.
