Saving something for a worthy day usually means it sits unused while the ordinary days go past, and the worthy day keeps moving. Objects do not improve in a drawer. The occasion you are waiting for is mostly just a regular week you decided to treat well.

Use the saved thing on the next plain day you have. Nothing is wasted by letting a normal Tuesday count as the occasion.
