Every phase of life ends, the good ones and the brutal ones. That’s comforting in both directions.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Nothing holds its shape for long, and that cuts both ways. The stretch you want to keep is going to change, and so is the one you are currently gritting your teeth through. Knowing it makes good times worth paying attention to and hard times survivable, since neither is the permanent arrangement it feels like.

If you are in a good stretch, say so out loud this week. If you are in a rough one, mark a date a few months out and see what has shifted by then.
