Scrolling to the top of an old text thread shows you who you were. Some of those people deserve a thank-you.

Old messages preserve your actual voice from a year or two back, which is more honest than memory is. You also see who was quietly there, checking in and putting up with you through a stretch you may remember as lonely. Both of those are easy to miss while they are happening.

Scroll one long thread back to its beginning and pick out somebody who showed up for you. Tell them you noticed, even this late.
