Faith is trusting that silence does not mean nothing is being arranged.

Quiet stretches feel like abandonment because we read silence as absence. But a great deal happens without announcement, and much of what later looks like an answer was assembled during a period when nothing seemed to be occurring. Faith here is the willingness to hold that possibility open when there is no evidence either way.

In a season of no news, look for what you can still tend, since something is usually within reach even when the large thing is not. Keep the small commitments. They are often the ones being arranged around.
