A playful mind sees possibilities a rigid one dismisses too quickly.

CREATIVITY
A rigid mind evaluates options against what is proper and discards most of them in the first second. A playful mind holds them a little longer, asks what if, and follows the silly idea one step further than seems reasonable. Most of those paths lead nowhere, but the useful ones are almost always found there, because obvious solutions have usually been taken already.
When you are stuck, try generating deliberately bad ideas for a few minutes with no filter running. The point is to loosen the reflex that kills options early. Then look at your bad list, because the workable answer is often a slightly tamed version of something you almost threw away.
Which idea did you dismiss before letting yourself play with it?
