If it keeps happening, it isn’t bad luck anymore. It’s a pattern with your name on it.

Once is chance, and a run of the same thing is a system. The hard part is that every instance arrives with its own believable explanation, so the pattern never has to be faced; there was a reason each individual time. Standing back far enough to see the repetition is the whole difficulty.

Pick something that keeps happening to you and list the last three occasions side by side. Look for the element present in all of them. That element is the part you can change, and it is usually closer to home than the explanations suggested.
