A mistake measured accurately becomes easier to correct.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Knowing that something went wrong tells you very little. Knowing exactly how far off it was, in which direction, and where it started tells you what to change. Vague failure invites broad reactions, more effort, more worry, whereas measured failure points at one specific adjustment.
Next time something misses, resist the urge to move straight to fixing it. Spend a few minutes quantifying the gap and locating where the divergence began. The correction that follows will be smaller, faster, and far more likely to hold than a general resolve to do better.
Which mistake of yours have you described vaguely to avoid naming it?
