Being busy is a great way to avoid asking whether you’re busy with the right things.

Constant activity feels like progress and provides excellent cover. While every hour is full, there is no space for the harder question of whether any of it is taking you anywhere, and a full week works as an answer all by itself. Busyness is one of the most respectable forms of avoidance available.
Take twenty minutes this week with nothing running and ask what, out of everything you are doing, actually matters to you. Write it down. Then find one thing on that list that could be dropped, and notice how much resistance it produces.
Is your full schedule hiding a question you would rather skip?
