Waiting for the right moment to tell the truth is fine. Waiting forever is just a slow lie.

REFLECTION
Timing is a real consideration and also the easiest thing to hide behind. There is a genuine difference between choosing a better moment and using the search for one as a permanent delay, and the difference is whether any moment would ever qualify. Past a certain point the waiting does the same work a lie would do.
Give the waiting a deadline. Name a day this week, and if that day arrives and you still have not said it, say it anyway in whatever imperfect setting you have. A clumsy true sentence on Thursday beats a perfect one that never comes.
Which truth have you been postponing until a better moment arrives?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
