A half-truth becomes a whole problem the day the other half shows up.

REFLECTION
Partial honesty is a bet on the rest never surfacing, and the odds are worse than they look. Everything you left out stays in the world, in somebody’s memory or somebody’s messages, and the day it appears it does not arrive as a small addition. It arrives as evidence that you knew and picked the smaller version.
If there is a piece you are holding back, add it now while you can still be the one who says it. One short follow-up conversation is enough. The gap between the halves only gets more expensive with time.
What have you told partly, leaving the rest to surface later?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
