Instant replay exists because even trained eyes miss things at full speed. Yours do too.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Officials watch for a living and still need the footage, which says something about eyes in general rather than about them. At full speed your brain fills gaps with what it expected to see, and the filling feels identical to seeing. That is not a weakness you can train away by concentrating harder. It is just how fast things happen.
Keep that in mind next time you are sure about something you saw once: who touched it last, who said what. Treat your own certainty as a first draft. If the answer matters, look for the replay, the thread, or the second witness before you plant a flag.
What did you miss because it happened faster than you could see?
