The easiest student to teach may not be the one who learns most.

Ease of teaching is not a measure of learning. The student who follows instructions and produces neat work may be consolidating what they already knew, while the one who argues, gets it wrong, and asks awkward questions is doing the harder and more productive thing. Compliance is comfortable and it is not the same as progress.
If you teach anything, notice which of your students actually change over a term. If you are learning, being difficult in the right way, asking rather than nodding, is usually the faster route. Comfort is a poor signal in both directions.
