The tree outside your window has never seen the view you admire it for completing.

The tree completing your view has no relationship to the view. It is doing its own work in its own terms, and the composition you love exists only from your window and only for you. You have made a picture out of something that is simply a life going on nearby.

There is a small correction available here. Much of what you admire in the world is admired for the role it plays in your arrangement rather than for what it is. That includes people sometimes. Occasionally trying to see something on its own terms, rather than as part of your composition, is a quiet discipline that changes how you treat it.
