The nest is temporary architecture built without the idea that temporary means careless.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

A nest will be used for weeks and it is built with complete attention anyway. Nothing in the making treats the short life of the structure as a reason to do less, because the thing has to work perfectly for exactly as long as it is needed. Temporary and careless are separate ideas that we habitually run together.

Look at what you are doing badly because it will not last. The rented flat, the interim arrangement, the job you plan to leave, the year you consider a holding pattern. Those weeks are still weeks you are living in. Building them properly is not wasted effort just because the structure is scheduled to come down.
