A title can introduce you, but character determines what people remember.

LEADERSHIP
A title gets you the first meeting. What people carry away, and what they say about you later, comes from how you behaved once the title stopped being interesting, which happens quickly. The position opens the door and does almost nothing after that.
Pay attention to how you conduct yourself in ordinary interactions where your role gives you no advantage. Those are the ones that form the lasting impression. The title will not do that work for you.
If your job title vanished, what would people still know you for?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
