The last inspection is a fact about the past, not a promise from the present.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
An inspection certifies a moment that has already passed. It says the thing was sound when someone looked, which is genuinely valuable and is not a statement about today. Everything that has happened since is outside what the record covers.
This is worth holding whenever you rely on a credential, a check, or a past assessment: a qualification, a reference, a report, a clean bill of health. All of them describe a previous state. The useful follow-up question is what has changed since, and how anyone would know. Records point backwards, and the confidence they inspire tends to point forwards.
What are you trusting because it was true a while ago?
