The clock does not chase anyone; it simply waits until everyone eventually meets it.

Time does not pressure anyone. It simply continues, and everything you postpone waits at the far end of it, which is why the absence of urgency is so misleading. Nothing forces the issue until suddenly the available room is gone.

Identify the thing you have been assuming there will be time for. Then do a small piece of it this month rather than waiting for a prompt. There will not be one.
