Liking something and having a position on it are separate acts, though the screen asks for the second within seconds of the first. That reflex converts an experience into a performance before you have finished having it. Some pleasures survive being announced. A good many of them thin out.

Let something you enjoy sit unremarked this week. Read it, close the app, and carry on with your afternoon. If you still want to say something about it tomorrow, that opinion has earned its way out of you.
