The version of you who began deserves some gratitude from the version who finished.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Beginning is harder than continuing, and it gets no credit, because whoever finishes holds the whole picture and can see every early clumsiness in detail. The one who started had less skill, less information and no evidence any of it would work, and started anyway. That was the more exposed position.
When you finish something, spend a minute on what it took to begin. Then remember the feeling next time you are at the start of something and interpreting your own awkwardness as a bad sign.
What did an earlier you start that you now benefit from?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
