Keep the things you need first separate from the things you cannot bear to lose.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Urgency and value are two different measures, and storing them together makes both harder to reach. The documents you need on an ordinary Tuesday are not the photographs you would run back for. When they share a drawer, a hurried moment forces you to sort through one to find the other.
Take an hour this week and split the pile. Put the practical items where you can find them without thinking: keys, cards, chargers, papers you use. Give the irreplaceable things their own place, somewhere safer and less disturbed, and tell one other person where that place is.
Which of your belongings could never be replaced if lost tomorrow?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
