Forgetting about a thing is not the same as finishing it. The cost simply moved to someone who cannot put it down.

Go through what other people are waiting on from you, including the small items you decided were not urgent. Send the state of each one, even when the state is unchanged. A short message about where something stands returns hours to a person who has been guessing.
