The moment you stop looking for proof of your opinion, reality becomes more interesting.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Once you stop gathering support for a position, you can actually look at what is there, and what is there is usually more surprising than anything your case would have produced. Advocacy narrows the field. Curiosity opens it.
Take something you have strong views about and spend an hour learning about it without deciding anything. No conclusion required. It is a different experience from the one you have been having, and generally a better one.
Which opinion could you set down for a week and observe instead?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
