A decision made for the long term should include an ordinary bad week.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Long commitments get judged from your best hours: full energy, high motivation, everything going reasonably well. Ordinary life is not made of those. An arrangement that only works when you are rested, undisturbed and enthusiastic will meet its first tired fortnight quickly, and the failure will look like a lack of discipline rather than a design fault.
Before committing, picture the same arrangement during a bad week: illness, extra work, no sleep, low interest. Ask what happens to it then, and build in the smaller version you would still manage. What survives a poor week is the only kind that lasts a year.
Would your plan survive a week when everything feels heavy?
