Give a new arrangement time to become familiar before declaring it a bad fit.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Early discomfort with anything new is mostly the cost of unfamiliarity, not evidence about the thing itself. A different route, a rearranged room, a changed schedule: your attention has to work harder while the pattern is still being learned, and that effort registers as dislike. Judging in the first week measures the learning, not the arrangement.

Give whatever you have just changed a fixed trial before you decide, a month rather than a mood. Note what specifically bothers you as you go, and at the end see whether the list is about the design or only about the newness.
