The day spent preparing the ground belongs to the harvest too.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Preparation gets counted as the delay before the real work, when it is actually part of the work itself. Nothing visible happens on the day you clear, plan, sharpen and set things in order, so the day feels wasted. But the result you eventually point to was shaped as much by that quiet setup as by the effort that followed; progress simply does not always look like motion.
Look back at your last finished thing and name the unglamorous hours that made it possible. Then give this week one such day without apologizing for it.
What unglamorous preparation are you refusing to count as progress?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
