Being better at a task should not sentence someone to doing it forever.

Skill has a way of hardening into a life sentence. Whoever is best at the accounts, the difficult phone calls or the family logistics ends up doing them permanently, because it is quicker each time than teaching anyone else, and the arrangement nobody agreed to becomes the arrangement nobody can change. Efficiency in the short run builds an unfair distribution over years.

Look at what always falls to the same person in your house or team, including yourself. Pick one of those jobs and hand it over badly on purpose, allowing the first attempts to be worse than yours. A month of slower work buys a fairer decade.
