The routine that fits your real evenings has a better chance than the one designed for imaginary mornings.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Plans are usually made by a rested version of you for a person who does not exist. The five o’clock start, the hour of study before work, the elaborate breakfast belong to someone with different sleep, different obligations and different weather. Meanwhile the evenings you actually have, tired and interrupted, are where the change would have to survive.

Build the routine around what your days already look like. If you are never awake early, stop planning around a morning that has failed for years. Put the thing in the twenty minutes that genuinely exist, even if that is after the washing up with the television on.
